Extended protection of a trademark due to the trademark having secondary meaning, i.e. having been proven (usually by the carrying out of a consumer survey) to be known to a large percentage of the population. Extended protection would mean that the trademark not only has protection for particular international classes which are relevant to the goods in question and have been registered, but has protection for all classes of goods/services.  Astrid Elke Witte
